photo courtesy Andy Sharp and H-Starting around late August, Alistair Sharp, a kindergarten student at Highland Park Elementary School, will be able to walk into H-E-B's cereal aisle and see his own design on store shelves.
Alistair, who is 6 years old, won an H-E-B Design a Box contest for the grocery chain's Honey Nut Toasted Oats cereal. By winning the competition, Alistair's design will be the new artwork for the cereal's boxes.
Instead of milking the victory when asked about the competition, Alistair was more interested in describing how he made the collage design.
Winning the competition means Alistair gets free Honey Nut Toasted cereal for a year. His dad, Andy, said that while Alistair was excited about winning, he was not overwhelmed.
"When I told him that it looks like you've won a year's worth of cereal, he said, 'But I like pancakes,'" Andy laughed.
