ATX Brands, owner of live music venue The Parish at 214 E. Sixth St., Austin, put the 5,300-square-foot space up for auction on eBay on Dec. 1 with a starting bid of $1. “I wanted to offer a fair playing field from the start for music-lovers of all types to own a piece of true music history in the Live Music Capital of the World,” ATX Brands CEO Doug Guller said in a Nov. 29 news release. After a 10-day auction, the venue—which has hosted musicians Leon Bridges, Shakey Graves and Pete Townshend—was sold on Dec. 11 to a private bidder for $376,445. www.theparishaustin.com
