CoffeeSock hosted an open house Nov. 14 to introduce Austin to its new factory location where it creates reusable coffee filters.
The factory, located at 2228 S. Lamar Blvd., Ste. B, is where owner Corina Guillory and her staff will create the sustainable and reusable filters, which can last up to a year if used for a pot of coffee every day, Guillory said.
The filters use organically grown, untreated cotton for use in systems that require No. 2, No. 4, and No. 6 cone filters, basket filters, Hario v60 filters, and Chemex filters. The filters are sold in pairs so one can be used while the other is cleaned by rinsing and air-drying. A pair of fitlers is sold for $12.99 on the company's website.
