Heartsong Music will celebrate its 10-year-anniversary Nov. 15 with a musical celebration and silent auction.
The organization was founded by Carey Youngblood, a certified Montessori teacher who has taught children and youth choirs for more than 40 years. The mission of the classes is to bring families together and teach children creativity through music.
"Playing and doing music in our rich environment brought out and nurtures children's inborn capabilities to respond to and make music, even as babies," Youngblood said in a statement. "The program helps develop bonds between parents, siblings, caregivers and other members of the extended family."
