Residents can dispose of expired, unwanted or unused prescription drugs on April 22, during Drug Take Back Day. The event—organized by Travis County officials and the Drug Enforcement Administration—is free, anonymous and “no questions asked,” according to the county. Pet medications and over-the-counter drugs are also accepted.
The event is held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the five Travis County constable precinct offices.
The precinct offices also have permanent drop-off boxes that are open Mondays-Fridays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. year-round.
