South Lamar has a new spot to grab a coffee, a cocktail, or both. Cuvée Coffee, an Austin-based company that has been roasting beans in Texas since 1998, according to a press release from the company, has been open inside The Code hotel since May, per The Code's social media page.
The local chain is throwing a welcome party for the neighborhood Aug. 15-16, with free drinks and giveaways for anyone who stops by, per the release.
What's special about it
According to the release, the café is designed to run all day, opening each morning with espresso and cold brew before transitioning into wine, local beer and craft cocktails by evening.
The menu includes classic espresso drinks and nitro cold brew alongside specialty items like the Texas Teddy and a Maple Spiced Pecan cold brew. The bar menu features espresso martinis, frozen cocktails and cocktail riffs including the Twisted Old Fashioned and the Paperwork, described in the release as Cuvée's take on the Paper Plane.

According to the release Aug. 15 runs 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., with complimentary drip coffee and nitro cold brew available all day and the first 50 oat milk drinks free, courtesy of Minor Figures. The McKims will host a wine flight paired with a charcuterie board from Bat City Boards from 5-7 p.m., while supplies last, per the release. Aug. 16 runs 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., also with complimentary drip coffee and cold brew, plus a sparkling and rosé flight paired with a brunch board from Bat City Boards from 10 a.m. to noon, according to the release. Parking is free for both events with a validated ticket in The Code's garage off Bluebonnet Lane.
Founders Mike and Rashelle McKim will also be on-site both days of the opening weekend to greet guests and share the story behind Cuvée's expansion into The Code, per the release.
