Epoch Coffee will celebrate its 20th anniversary Aug. 1 with a party featuring 20 hours of DJs—"20 hours of music for 20 years in business," the shop said.
Epoch opened July 29, 2006, at 221 W. North Loop Blvd., founded by Joe Rodriguez, Chris Clarkson and Kevin Gary and inspired by Mojo's Daily Grind, a 24-hour coffee shop on The Drag, said Randi Hensley, director of operations and one of the now four owners.
In addition to music, the celebration will include in-house popsicles made with the shop's teas, affogatos made with housemade ice cream over the weekend and a birthday drink available all week: the Heart Parade, inspired by chantilly lace cake, Hensley told Community Impact.
"We're gonna have fun things happening throughout the day, but mainly it's the 20 hours of DJs," she said.
