After over a decade of operations, north Austin destination, Yard Bar, announced it will close its doors on May 30. Kristen Heaney Clark, owner of Yard Bar, shared the news in an Instagram post.
The context
Yard Bar opened 11 years ago and is a dedicated dog park and bar, open for brews and barks on 20,000-square-feet of land.
Its move to close comes down to numbers, the business shared, not the community, team or people that have supported it.

“You trusted us with your dogs and made yourselves at home in our yard as if it was your own,” the business shared in an Instagram post. “Lifelong friendships were built here. Your dogs grew up here, made friends here and spent their first and their last days here. What an incredible honor that has been.”
