Toys R Us has announced plans to liquidate its inventory and shut down all 735 of its nationwide locations, including one store in South Austin in the Brodie Oaks Shopping Center at 4025 S. Capital of Texas Hwy. The first Toys R Us store in the U.S. opened in 1957. According to the company's website, liquidation sales began Friday.
