Nonprofit Torch Literary Arts is slated to open a physical creative space at The Linc called The Torch Center in August.
The details
The organization focuses on advancing opportunities for Black women writers and is known for its online publication Torch Magazine, which publishes poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction and screenplays from new and experienced writers.
The organization also hosts reading and writing workshops and other events with community partners, and features a curated bookshop.
