1. New European steak house opens in Georgetown
Sovian is a European-style steakhouse, taking inspiration from culinary traditions in Italy and France, according to a news release. The restaurant has a traditional dining space, outdoor patio, lounge and private event space.
2. Final vision for alternative to Hwy. 71 approved in Bee Cave
Several changes to Bee Cave’s Thoroughfare Plan were approved at the March 24 Bee Cave City Council meeting, marking updates to the city’s future transportation goals in the area.
The revisions are part of the city’s Thoroughfare Plan, which outlines goals, plans and projects for future mobility improvements in the area.
3. 204 Texas breaks ground on nearly 600-acre film studio
The landscape is changing just west of Lovers Lane in Bastrop, as Alton Butler broke ground on 204 Texas—a nearly 600-acre film studio complex local officials expect will boost the local economy.

4. New Leander restaurant grills up classic Persian, Mediterranean flavors
Zeytun Mediterranean Grill now brings Persian and Mediterranean cuisine to Leander, moving into the former home of Aparacios.
Officially opened on March 24, the restaurant prioritizes a unique blend of flavors to the Austin area. In a statement to Community Impact, owner Arash Soofiani described Zeytun Mediterranean Grill as "a Persian, Italian and Mediterranean grill concept built on family tradition, cultural heritage and a passion for fresh, high-quality food."

5. Traffic signals coming soon to Wyoming Springs Drive extension in Round Rock
City crews will install traffic light arms at two intersections of the Wyoming Springs Drive extension in the next few weeks.
As the road project to extend Wyoming Springs to Old Settlers Boulevard progresses, crews will add traffic signal arms at its intersections with Creek Bend Boulevard and Old Settlers Blvd., per an April 1 update from the city of Round Rock.

6. New coffee shop to open in Hutto
Area residents will soon have a new spot to grab a cup of coffee and small bites in Hutto.
BrewLAB is expected to hold a soft opening in Hutto later this month. Owned by Laureen Ballard, the shop will offer espresso, shaken espresso, cold brew, cocoa, matcha lattes and other coffee drinks. The business will also offer small food items, such as egg bites, croissants and sausage wraps.
