At Community Impact Newspaper’s Central Austin edition, we have the pleasure of covering a broad swath of the city that includes more than 88,000 residents and 11 different ZIP codes. That’s a large area to cover, and it’s getting larger by the day as new residents continue moving into Central Austin. In our real estate section, we provide you a snapshot of what’s happening with home sales each month. Our information is provided to us by the Austin Board of Realtors. The market data gives a broad look of the number of home sales and price of homes sold. Depending on the size of our section, we’ll also include property listings, a list of anywhere from 10 to 80 of the homes most recently sold in your neighborhoods. The section complements our in-depth reporting on issues that affect homeowners like property taxes and affordability.
