At its Feb. 6 meeting, Leander City Council approved a variance to allow city crews to perform overnight construction in order to repair the intersection at Travisso Parkway and FM 1431.
Public Works crews will work overnight between 9 p.m.-7 a.m. Feb. 22-23 and 23-24, according to city documents. Bad weather dates have been scheduled exactly a week later.
The intersection, which is “rapidly failing,” according to city documents, will be repaired and replaced with concrete pavement.
Phase 1 will close all lanes heading north on Travisso at the intersection and detour traffic into Travisso through Angel Side Drive. Phase 2 will reduce southbound Travisso traffic at the intersection to one lane.
