The Parks Department reopened the disc golf course at Southwest Williamson County Park in Leander on Oct. 6.
The course was shut down for nearly six months after Williamson County Commissioners voted April 17 to close the area until deemed safe.
There were approximately 250 trees surrounding the course deemed dead and unsafe due to drought conditions, parks Director Randy Bell said.
"The concern is that there are dead trees, which creates a safety issue," he said in April.
