The city of Cedar Park is realigning Anderson Mill Road between RM 1431 and Lime Creek Road and constructing it as a four- and two-lane roadway. The project also includes the addition of turn lanes at various driveways and intersections to improve safety. Construction on the project began in early January, and substantial completion of the realignment project is estimated for May 2018.

For the past two years, the Texas Department of Transportation has been conducting a long-term feasibility study of RM 2243 from Toll 183A in Leander to I-35 in Georgetown, according to the state agency. The study is to determine future improvements to the roadway and will help TxDOT serve the community’s transportation needs.

Leander City Council approved an amendment April 6 to a contract with M&S Engineering LLC to add $257,661 to the North East Street Roadway Improvements Project, which extends East from RM 2243 to Hero Way. The amendment raised the total project cost to $565,486.
