Families in the U.S. will celebrate Dad this weekend in recognition of Father's Day on June 18. Here are some events going on in Cedar Park and Leander that are focused around Dad.

The Austin Steam Train will host a 44-mile round-trip journey spanning the South San Gabriel River and stops for a 15-minute layover at the historic Bertram Depot. The Depot features a fully restored interior with an operator’s bay, vintage operating equipment and historic photographs. A boxed lunch and drinks are included with admission. Father’s Day Dad Gone Wild Car & Motorcycle Show
RockPointe Church hosts a day of family-friendly activities to celebrate Dad. Vote for the favorite car, motorcycle or off-road vehicle and enjoy live music, prizes, inflatables and food trucks. There will also be a free t-shirt for every man. Helicopter rides will be available for $60 paid in cash or $65 on a credit card. Free Meal for Dad at Pluckers
All Texas Pluckers locations will give a free meal—entrée, side and non-alcoholic beverage worth up to $15—to any dad that takes a picture with his child or children at Pluckers and posts the photo to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #Pluckers. It can be posted to the father’s or child's social media account. Pluckers is located at 11066 Pecan Park Blvd., Cedar Park. WORTH THE TRIP
