3. Anderson Mill Road realignment
The city of Cedar Park plans to realign Anderson Mill Road in several locations and construct it as a four-lane roadway on the north and south ends and as a two-lane roadway in the middle, Senior Engineering Associate Alan Green said during an Oct. 13 Cedar Park City Council meeting. The roadway will also include turn lanes at various driveways and intersections. Phase 1 of the project consists of the reconstruction of Anderson Mill from RM 1431 south to about Gaspar Bend, Green said. Phase 2 would add two lanes on the north end of the project, plus an additional two lanes on Anderson Mill through the Deer Creek Ranch neighborhood. During the meeting, City Council approved the authorization of an agreement with Dial Development Services for observation and inspection services of the roadway in an amount not to exceed $110,000. Huerta said the city opened the project for bids Nov. 3. Depending on when a bid is awarded, construction is expected to start in late December or early January and last 15 months, Huerta said.
