Heritage Oak Tree

The city of Cedar Park hosted the annual tree lighting ceremony Dec. 9. Residents and visitors can see 30,000 lights adorn the 400-year-old Heritage Oak Tree every night through Jan. 1. Rhodes Family Christmas

Since 2001, the Rhodes family has decorated their home for the holidays. Visitors can see the lights on display until Jan. 1. Santa Claus will visit Dec. 23 from 6-8 p.m., during which time hot chocolate will be on sale with the proceeds benefitting Cedar Park Area Food Bank. The house is also a collection site for donations to the food bank. Free. 5:45-10 p.m. (weekdays), 5:45-11 p.m. (weekends).

Trail of Trees

Visitors can stroll through the trees on display at Camp Twin Lakes Dec. 4-30. Families and business owners decorate the 9-foot holiday trees and compete to win Best Tree in Cedar Park. 6-10 p.m. Free.

Residents in this cul-de-sac light up their homes each night. “’Twas the Night Before Christmas” is featured on storyboards, and residents serve free hot chocolate on weekends. Visitors can see the display through Dec. 31. Visitors are asked to park on Sun Chase Boulevard and walk to Chinati Court. The display is also a collection site for Brown Santa donations. Free.

LEANDER

Blake and Stacey Toungate’s patriotic light display started in 2012 and includes more than 50,000 lights and an 18-foot tree. Visitors can tune their radios to 88.3 to listen to accompanying music. Free. 6-10 p.m. (weekdays), 6-11 p.m. (weekends).

Holiday tree in Old Town

The city of Leander and the Leander Chamber of Commerce hosted a Christmas parade and tree lighting ceremony Dec. 3 and visitors can visit the tree in Old Town nightly through Jan. 1. Free. 6 p.m.
