The project would serve as a community gathering place and allow visitors to experience multiple forms of visual, multimedia and performing arts, according to city documents.
While it’s all preliminary, officials said staff is looking to build a multipurpose center on the property that includes a theater, a gallery, three flexible art classrooms, a rentable multipurpose room, and indoor and outdoor informal gathering areas.
The community’s feedback will be used to guide the design, future programming and operational model of the space, according to city documents.
Residents will be able to provide input at the city’s Art Collective open houses, which are on the following dates:
- Feb. 29, 6-8 p.m.
- March 2, 10 a.m.-noon
Both open houses will be at Cedar Park City Hall, which is located at 450 Cypress Creek Road, Bldg. 3.
