YMCA Tomorrow Academy Four Points now enrolling for part-time care

Monthly rates for part-time care and full-time care are as follows:

Infant/Toddler (6 weeks–2 years)

• Part-Time: $1,150 (Mon./Wed./Fri.) or $765 (Tue./Thu.)
• Full-Time: $1,595

• Part-Time: $995 (Mon./Wed./Fri.) or $670 (Tue./Thu.)
• Full-Time: $1,395

“We really try to listen to the community to see what their needs are and see how we can best fit their needs,” Walker said. “Full-time care wasn't necessarily what they needed and obviously child care is extremely expensive and so there was a way for us to help financially adjust the hours and the days that are offered to help those families.”

Walker said enrolled children will be provided breakfast, lunch and dinner, taking into consideration allergies and special dietary needs.

What else?

The academy follows the YMCA’s Constellation of Care model, which focuses on five key points: safety and hygiene, parent-teacher engagement, health and nutrition, family wellness and the YMCA Playing to Learn Curriculum.

“I'm hopeful that this will meet the needs that maybe these other programs might not be offering,” Walker said. “We're in a time where people's schedules are very different than they used to be. ... I think it will help our families realize they can meet their own personal goals.”

Families who enroll in part-time and full-time care at the YMCA Tomorrow Academy will receive a complimentary Greater Austin YMCA family membership, which includes access to eight fitness centers and a range of benefits such as 50% off swim lessons and 20% off counseling sessions.

“When you join here as a family, it's not just daycare,” Walker said. “You become part of this community where the entire family is supported, from the child's growth to the parents' needs, so it really stays with you through a lifetime.”

The YMCA Tomorrow Academy Four Points started its first classes in March for children ages 6 weeks to prekindergarten.

The academy is the first phase of the future YMCA Four Points location. The location’s future phases include development of outdoor spaces, sports and family gathering spaces, an indoor fitness center and a virtual production space.
