Williamson County mobile bookstore Lioness Books is planning on setting up a permanent location this year.
The details
Lioness owner Sarah Ambrus founded the bookstore out of a custom-built 20-foot trailer in 2024. Ambrus, a former high school teacher, wanted to share her love of reading, and opted to start her first bookstore out of the mobile location so she could help bring books to the community.
“Traditional brick-and-mortar bookstore primarily attracts people who already self-identify as ‘readers,’” Ambrus said. “I wanted to reach everyone with a bookstore that would provide greater access and travel to reach all people in the community.”
