Vehicle inspection service Leander's Inspection Connection closed in late 2024.

The business conducted state-certified vehicle inspections for cars, trucks, RVs, trailers and motorcycles, in addition to providing auto glass repair and replacement services. The company announced its closure via a sign on the front door, which thanked the Leander community for its patronage and referred them to the nearby Sticker Stop at 2101 S. Hwy. 183 for any vehicle inspection needs.

Digging deeper

Recently, the Texas Department of Transportation removed the state inspection requirement for noncommercial vehicles in most counties, including Williamson and Travis counties, according to previous reporting. However, drivers in those counties will still need to pass an emissions test when renewing their registration.
