The cities of Bryan and College Station will have two weeks-long road closures, both scheduled to begin Oct. 19.
The overview
College Station: The south side of the Dartmouth-Krenek Tap intersection is scheduled to close for two weeks.
According to a news release received by Community Impact, the city is rerouting traffic to FM 2818 and Texas Avenue for northbound Dartmouth Street traffic. For southbound Dartmouth Street traffic, drivers will be directed to Krenek Tap Road and the Hwy. 6 frontage road.
The city is encouraging drivers to follow the rerouted traffic through the end of October.
Bryan: According to a Facebook post from the city, Bryan is relocating multiple utility lines because of the “Big 6” construction project on Hwy. 6.
Cherry Creek Circle will close between Briarcrest and Quail Hollow drives for water line installation.
The city said residents should enter the surrounding neighborhood by using Country Club Drive. The closure is expected to last up to three weeks.
One more thing
As previously reported by Community Impact, the “Big 6” construction project has affected roads and traffic throughout Bryan-College Station in 2026. The overall project is scheduled to be completed in 2030.
