Here's a look at six recent updates at health care facilities in the Bryan-College Station area, including new buildings and technology. This information is not comprehensive and was shared by officials from each respective hospital.
Baylor Scott & White expanding care services
Baylor Scott & White - College Station has invested in significant upgrades at its medical center in midtown.
An 8,000-square-foot expansion has made room for a total of 150 in-patient beds, double capacity for dialysis treatments and a 3T MRI– unveiled in April– will produce highly detailed imaging.
St. Joseph Health leads region in advanced joint care
St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital celebrated its 500th robotic-assisted knee replacement in April.
According to a news release, it is the first hospital system in the Bryan-College Station area to offer this kind of technology.
Baylor Scott & White expands specialty care access
At its Rock Prairie clinic, Baylor Scott & White has expanded specialty services, including obstetrics, cardiology and urology among others.
The hospital system is also expanding physician capacity across College Station.
St. Joseph Health expands primary care
A new primary care facility is coming to St. Joseph Health’s south College Station campus. St. Joseph broke ground on the 12-provider facility, to be completed this fall.

Baylor Scott & White moves into Physicians Centre Hospital with partnership
Baylor Scott & White announced a partnership with Surgery Partners in December 2025 to jointly own The Physicians Centre Hospital with physicians.
The center has 16 beds, adding to the system’s growth in out-patient care.
St. Joseph Health makes significant catheterization lab technology upgrades
St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital fully upgraded two of its catheterization labs last fall.
The state-of-the-art systems are designed for detailed imaging and complex procedures, including coronary artery stenting and angioplasties with enhanced clarity and control. In a news release, the health system said it is the first Common Spirit hospital in Texas and first in the Brazos Valley to use one of the systems, the Allia IGS 7.
