Bryan adopts proposed $569M city budget
Bryan City Council voted to adopt the city’s proposed $569 million fiscal year 2026-27 budget and held the first reading of its unchanged property tax rate at its Sept. 8 meeting.
The city has had the same property tax rate of $0.624000 per $100 valuation since 2022.

Bryan approves $13M in purchases for fiscal year 2027
Bryan City Council approved millions in blanket purchases for various facilities and industrial needs for fiscal year 2026-27 at its Sept. 8 meeting.
As part of the purchases, the city is aiming to replace 5,000 water meters for future growth and maintenance, along with replacing $150,000 worth of failing meters.
