With America’s 250th Independence Day landing on a Saturday this year, many government offices will be closed on Friday to celebrate the holiday.
Brazos County government offices will close early at 2 p.m. on July 2 and will be closed on the full day of July 3.
City of Bryan closures
According to the city of Bryan’s website, these facilities will be closed on July 3.
Payments for bills and utilities due on the third will be accepted without penalty on July 6.

If residents need to make a utilities payment, two H-E-B locations will be open, and the drop-offs at the BTU buildings have 24-hour access.
City of College Station closures
The city of College Station website states most government offices will be closed, including:
Texas A&M University’s campus will be open, but there will be an early release at noon on July 3.
Solid waste and recycling collections are operating under regular hours.
The Cindy Hallaran Pool will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Adamson Lagoon will be open from 1-6 p.m.

Most government offices and facilities will be closed, but tourist destinations and celebrations are happening throughout Aggieland and are available to the public. If residents need to make payments on certain utilities, there are options available. Emergency services will also remain fully operational in both cities.
