College Station City Council is expected to vote at its Feb. 26 meeting on a letter of intent that will guide the city's negotiations on the baseball complex it plans to build in the Midtown area.
Other items of note on the agenda include several contracts totaling millions of dollars for road and facility improvements, documents show.

The letter is a step toward negotiations with The Station Baseball LLC, which is a development firm pitching the project. That project specifically will include creating an 80-acre baseball complex with nine fields, officials told Community Impact earlier in February.
The hope is for the complex to help drive sports tourism with estimates showing it could generate around $28 million in annual economic impact, according to agenda documents.
If approved, it will trigger a process in which the developer will submit documents laying the groundwork for potential formal approvals down the road, documents show.
The complex is proposed for a 200-acre vacant tract northeast of Costco off Midtown Drive, Community Impact previously reported.
Other items of note
On the city’s consent agenda is a number of contracts, including:
- Around $521,000 for improvements at the Lincoln Center, including for a shade shelter and the installation of a restroom building
- $6 million contract with Brazos Paving for pavement repairs and reconstruction
- Around $4.6 million for the purchase of asphalt and concrete base
The council will also consider revising rules related to on-street parking along Stasney Street and Cross Street, agenda documents show. The proposed amendment would remove on-street parking along parts of the roads while allowing it near 550 Cross St. and 401 Stasney St.

City Council will meet at 3 p.m. Feb. 26 at 1101 Texas Ave., College Station. The beginning will be to honor the city's employee of the year. However, the council's executive session begins at 4 p.m. and the public meeting isn't slated to begin until at least 6 p.m., officials said in a Feb. 23 email.
