Two Republicans are advancing to the November race in Brazos County for the district clerk and Precinct 2 commissioner seats following the May 26 runoff.
As it stands, neither is slated to have an opponent in November.

What's happening
According to unofficial voting results in the race for Brazos County Precinct 2 Commissioner, Kyle Greenwood received 3,690 votes, or 66.12% of the vote. Jordan Januse received 1,891 votes, or 33.88% of the vote.
Greenwood takes over for sitting Precinct 2 Commissioner Chuck Konderla, who has been in his position since 2020.
Meanwhile, unofficial results favored Wayland Van Nest in the district clerk race with 9,286 votes, or 76.16% of the vote. Incumbent Gabriel Garcia received 2,906 votes, or 23.84% of the vote.
Some context
Januse and Greenwood faced off in March, but neither obtained a majority of the vote, leading to a runoff.
In the original race, Greenwood gathered 49.87% of the vote while Januse sat at 34.16%, according to the county's official results.
As for the district clerk race, Van Nest raked in 44.16% of the vote to Garcia's 31.92% in the original race's results.
Neither candidate currently has a Democratic opponent set for November.
