Texas A&M regents adopt 5-year strategic plan for student success
The Texas A&M University Board of Regents adopted a five-year plan, with student success as a key goal, after a year-long approval process during its third-quarter 2026 meeting on Sept. 3.
The plan’s effectiveness will also be measured by 36 indicators of performance, including in part:
Graduation rate among all degrees, collaborative research between departments and organizations and the number of Texans reached through public service.
Commercialization with brand initiatives, such as the recent collaboration between the university and Buc-ee’s.
Savings produced through shared services and improved operations throughout the campus.

College Station ISD saves $300K+ on insurance renewal, attendance-credit agreement
CSISD trustees approved a $2.1 million insurance renewal and an agreement related to state attendance credits during the district’s Aug. 25 meeting. This amount is roughly $333,487 less than the cost of the expiring policy despite an increase in the amount of property covered.
