During the July 21 College Station ISD school board meeting, the trustees will vote on millions in expenditures for the upcoming 2026-27 school year, as well as updates and the potential issuance of new bonds.
The overview
According to the agenda material, the 2026 bond issuance is not to exceed $96,175,000, and the updated amount for Proposition A now totals $284,975,000. Proposition A consists of improvements and additions, including:
- Renovations to Rock Prairie Elementary, A&M Consolidated High School and College Station High School, along with Phase 2 of the career and technical education facility and cosmetology lab added to A&M Consolidated
- Improvements to middle school playing fields and stadiums throughout the district
- The addition of a central administrative office, transportation facilities and bus parking, and the purchase and acquisition of sites for school facilities, school buses and vehicles
