The BCS Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 26 to welcome Texas Archery, a business focused on bow sales and teaching archery to the public, to Aggieland.
The overview
Originally founded in Spring, the business relocated to College Station after owners Amy and Scott Booth said the Spring market became too saturated for the business.
The public ceremony was attended by the mayors of Bryan and College Station, along with the chamber of commerce. The ceremony also featured a speech by Scott Booth, who said he was grateful for the public and chamber making them feel welcome.
About Texas Archery
The archery shop features bows, crossbows and accessories. It also offers lessons and bow maintenance.
“The thing we really enjoy is the youth archery part of this business,” Booth said. “If you have any niche shop, it's the people who have the knowledge and skills that come along with it that make it possible.”

During the cutting of the ribbon, Texas Archery did a special take on cutting, featuring one of the coaches. The Booths’ son Ryan used a bow with an arrow to shoot down a second ribbon. He also competed on Texas A&M University’s archery team, where he competed in the 2025-26 collegiate nationals competition.

Looking ahead
Texas Archery will offer camps, lessons and equipment for veteran and novice archers alike. According to Booth, the new location will plan to serve the Brazos Valley with the “people who have the knowledge and skills that come along with it to make it possible.”
While the business has been operating since the spring, it will host a Grand Opening on May 30.
