Updated Sept. 19 at 9:45 p.m. An announcement was made on the George Bush Intercontinental Airport Twitter account late Thursday evening that flights arriving at the airport would resume at 4 a.m. Friday morning. IAH officials urged those driving to the airport to only use the JFK entrance from Beltway 8, the Hardy Toll Road connector or Greens Road, according to the Twitter account.

Updated Sept. 19 at 5:05 p.m. Officials with the George Bush Intercontinental Airport announced Thursday evening there would be no flights arriving at the airport today, but flights are anticipated to resume as scheduled starting tomorrow afternoon.
No arriving flights into Houston today, only few departing flights. Flight operations are estimated to resume tomorrow afternoon per the FAA. Will update if that changes to an earlier time. Updated Sept. 19 at 3:40 p.m. Hobby Airport officials announced Thursday afternoon that both inbound and outbound flights are operational as floodwaters have receded on surrounding roadways.
