Median home sale prices up in 4 of 5 ZIP codes covering Bellaire, Meyerland, West U

The median price of homes sold rose in four of five local ZIP codes covering the Bellaire, Meyerland and West University areas when comparing data from July 2024 with July 2023.

The 77401 ZIP code, which covers the city of Bellaire, saw a slight decrease in median home price when comparing the two months. Both the 77005 and 77025 ZIP saw increases of more than 50%.

Total home sales were down in four of five ZIP codes when comparing July 2024 with July 2023. However, the decreases were relatively small, with none of those four ZIP codes seeing a drop of more than four homes between the two months.

The average number of days a home stays on the market before selling rose in three of five local ZIP codes.

For the second month in a row, the 77005 and 77025 ZIP codes saw increases in average days on market when compared to the same month in the previous year. Despite the jump, the 77005 ZIP code still saw homes sell the fastest of the five ZIP codes.

In July, nearly twice as many homes sold for $1 million or more than homes that sold between the next highest price range, $250,000-$499,999.
