Just under one year after opening in July 2022, CounterCommon Beerworks & Kitchen announced its last day of service in the Bellaire Triangle would be June 30.
Located at 5413 Bellaire Blvd., Bellaire, the brewpub specialized in Asian and Latin menu items while also offering an array of freshly brewed German beer.
In a June 23 Instagram post, restaurant officials described the “painful” decision to close.
“It was a painful decision, but it became clear that we had financially reached the point where we could not continue any further,” officials wrote in the post. “We are proud of what we accomplished as Bellaire’s first brewpub and hope to have paved the way for other innovative restaurants to come. ... It is now time to move on and see what is in store for us next.”
