A Yellow Cab contractor who drove for METROLift and a METRORail Cleaner have both tested positive for COVID-19, the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County announced in a news release April 2.
The confirmation brings the total cases for the agency to five employees and one contractor since March 29, when the transit provider first announced that two of its employees tested positive for the disease.
The contractor provided service on the following dates: March 13-14, 16-17, 19-21, 23-24, 26-27 and was last on the job Saturday, March 28.
METRO is in the process of contacting riders who were on that vehicle within 14 days of the contractor’s last day on the job.
