Nearly two years after the French luxury fashion brand Balmain opened its first Texas flagship store at the River Oaks District in 2023, Galleria mall officials announced in May that the boutique store is moving less than a mile away.
"We are very pleased to welcome Balmain to the Galleria and to support their continued success," said Velda Turan, senior vice president of leasing at Simon, the real estate group which owns the Galleria.

The decision to relocate the Houston flagship store from the River Oaks District to the Galleria mall comes as part of a new chapter for the French luxury brand, according to Balmain Americas President Emily George who said in a May news release they will be enhancing the in-store experience for customers.
