Upcoming projects
Lawrence Road and Village Way
Project: The project scope includes a design and rebuild of the traffic signal at the Lawrence Road and Village Way intersection, city officials said.
Update: Construction is slated to begin in late summer.
Project: About 1,880 feet of roadway will be constructed, building two southbound lanes now and the northbound lanes later, officials said.
Update: The project is in Texas Department of Transportation permitting and right-of-way acquisition; two of five parcels have been acquired, and others are in progress, with the bid schedule planned for the summer.
FM 518 at Country Lane intersection improvements
Project: This is a full intersection rebuild at FM 518 and Country Lane, including signal upgrades, mast arm installation and safety enhancements, officials said.
Update: Construction started in May due to a wait on signal equipment.
Project: This is a drainage improvements project, consisting of installation of large pipes, storm boxes and inlets along and across FM 518 and Wesley Drive to improve drainage at the intersection area, officials said.
Update: Construction started at the end of March with slated completion by early 2027 at the latest.
