The Texas Renaissance Festival brought in 644,917 attendees in 2017—the second-highest attendance season in the festival's history—but TRF General Manager Terre Albert said organizers hope to top that for this year's festival. The 55-acre festival grounds, located at 21778 FM 1774, Todd Mission, features nine themed weekends with Renaissance-inspired live entertainment, interactive characters, and food and shopping vendors as well as camping opportunities. This year TRF debuts The Royal Pass—a season pass offering admission to all 19 event days, preferred parking access and free admission to TRF After Dark each Saturday for guests age 21 and older. “We really strive to bring new offerings to the festival,” Albert said. “We want to make sure our returning patrons have a reason to keep coming back and also show our new guests why they should keep coming to the festival.”
