A total of 11 League City employees have tested positive for the coronavirus COVID-19, said Sarah Greer Osborne, director of communications and media relations, in an April 6 email to Community Impact Newspaper.
As of the afternoon of April 6, the list of infected includes seven Fire Marshal's Office employees and four League City police officers.
However, several of those who previously tested positive have been cleared of the coronavirus and returned to work today. Additionally, another 10 tests among League City Police Department employees came back negative, and those employees will soon return to work as well, Osborne said.
Fire Chief Gary Warren, whose office is adjacent to the Fire Marshal's Office, was quarantined as a precaution. His test came back negative, and he is back at work, Osborne wrote.
