There are several events taking place in the Greater Houston area to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month from Sept. 15-Oct. 15. This list is not comprehensive.
Houston Science Festival
Bridges to Science is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at the Humble Civic Center by offering students in grades 5-12 and their families a day of live science demonstrations, activities and panel discussions delivered by STEM professionals.
Children's Museum Houston is celebrating Hispanic heritage with performances and activities including piñata decorating, a weaving workshop, story time with Univision and a mariachi performance.
The Miller Outdoor Theatre is celebrating Mexico’s Independence Day with an event featuring Caña Dulce and Caña Brava. The performers will exhibit the music, poetry, dance and traditional attire of Veracruz, Mexico.
The México en el Corazón experience held at Discovery Green's Anheuser-Busch Stage will feature over 50 performers with traditional costumes and music.
The City of Stafford is celebrating hispanic heritage with a two day festival featuring live performances, food trucks and activities. The first day will take place at Stafford Centre festival grounds and will take place at the Stafford Municipal School District the following day.
The annual Hispanic Heritage Festival hosted by Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones at Bayland Park will feature cultural performances, local food trucks, a piñata station, children’s crafts and activities, and a community resource fair.
