1. Wilson Street rehabilitation
Project: Plans include asphalt repair, milling, overlays, base repair and traffic control, with an optional tie-in at Wilson and Buttonwood streets.
Update: Bastrop Streets Director Lance Dodge said part of the project was finished in July between Farm and Cedar streets; however, the remainder of the project is on hold until 2027—following major construction work at the River Terrace subdivision.

2. South Pope Bend repaving
Project: Plans include removing 7 inches of existing asphalt and repaving 1.5 miles on the roadway.
Update: Bastrop County commissioners will consider a contract with Asphalt Inc. on July 20. Officials hope to have the work finished before Aug. 12, ahead of Cedar Creek students returning to school.

3. Carter Street four-way stops
Project: Four-way intersections were created to reduce speeding drivers near the Piney Creek Bend subdivision.
Update: Bastrop City Council OK’d the work at a June 23 meeting, and the intersections were completed by July 8.
