Crawfish KRAK House has relocated to Del Valle following the closure of its previous host site, Back 9 Bar.
What we know
Owner Kris Martinez is now serving Louisiana-style crawfish with sides, such as potatoes, corn and sausage, from his boil rig outside of Santo Patio—a Mexican bar and grill along the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 71.
He called his boils, which are available for purchase from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, “straight-from-the-bayou spicy.”

Back 9 Bar closed Jan. 20 after hosting Crawfish KRAK House for about a year.
“We will be retiring from the bar business,” Back 9 Bar owners announced in a social media post Jan. 15. “We would like to thank all our guests [who] have come out to Back 9 Bar and have made it a special place.”
What residents should know
Crawfish KRAK House will be in Rosanky on April 4 to compete for the Best Crawfish Around Award at Bastrop BayouFest—an event at 3004 S. Hwy. 304 that will feature all-you-can-eat crawfish and live music.
“If you’ve been waiting for a reason, this is it,” Martinez said in a social media post. “Pull up hungry.”
Also of note
For Martinez, the “KRAK” in Crawfish KRAK House carries a personal meaning. Each letter is the first initial of his family members—Koda, Ryder, Alicia and Kris.
