Coffee Dog to shutter Bastrop cafe Aug. 31

Coffee Dog Roastery and Drive-thru Cafe will close its Bastrop cafe Aug. 31, but owner Chandler Wible plans to relocate within Texas and launch an online shop.

In a nutshell

Since reopening the cafe March 5, Wible and his staff have added new recipes, including Scoops Chicken Salad Market.

In an announcement, Wible said the Coffee Dog team is ready to serve until 3 p.m. on closing day.

"To those who have supported us, we thank you from the bottom of [our] hearts," he said.

What's next?

Wible said he will be relocating the roastery and cafe elsewhere "within the state within the coming months."

He also noted a plan to launch an online shop soon.
