Springfest will return to Bastrop this April, bringing a free, family-friendly festival to Fisherman’s Park in support of the Children’s Advocacy Center and Court Appointed Special Advocates of Bastrop, Fayette and Lee Counties.
What we know
The event, aimed at raising awareness during National Child Abuse Prevention Month, will feature the following:
- Children-centered games
- Bounce houses
- Arts and crafts
- Hands-on activities
It will also focus on helping children establish connections with trusted adults in the community, according to CASA officials.

Volunteers are being sought to help bring the fun to life and can register online or by contacting [email protected].
Assistance is needed for a variety of tasks, including:
- Set-up
- Game booths
- Information
- Wayfinding
- Event coordination
“Civic groups, youth groups, social clubs and high schoolers working on service hours—we’d love to have you,” event organizers said in an announcement.
