Shoppers at Bastrop's H-E-B Plus will notice a few changes including a new entrance, a temporary curbside area and more.
What's happening
Located in a portion of the Texas Backyard area—where shoppers can find plants and other outdoor items—a temporary grocery-side entrance was opened on July 21.The temporary grocery-side entrance is open until 9 p.m. (Amanda Cutshall/Community Impact)
In addition, the curbside pickup area was temporarily moved to the pharmacy side of the store.
Officials with the Bastrop Planning and Development Department confirmed both changes were put in place to construct a True Texas BBQ.
When finished, an expanded curbside area will be moved back near its original location—next to the True Texas BBQ spot, officials said.

The $30 million project began last summer with the expansion of the grocery store's parking lot.
