Rollingwood council gets new aldermen; bonds pass

According to unofficial results with all precincts reporting Nov. 5, all three propositions for the Rollingwood bond elections have passed. Proposition 1 passed with 177 votes, or 53.15 percent, for and 156, or 46.85 percent, against. Proposition 2 passed with 230 for, or 69.28 percent, and 102 against, or 30.72 percent, the measure. Proposition 3 passed with 287 votes, or 86.45 percent, for and 45 votes, or 13.55 percent, against.

All results are unofficial until canvassed.

Jay Jayakuma and Amy Patillio will be Rollingwood City Council's newest members.

With aldermen John Hinton and Rob Hirschfeld not seeking additional terms on the council, Jayakuma and Patillio, along with Alderman Joe Basham, are running unopposed.

The three aldermen will serve two-year terms and join Rollingwood Mayor Barry Bone and council members Shelly Bain and Sara Hutson on the council.
