Austin ISD on Dec. 12 released its list of schools that will not be accepting in-district transfer students for the 2020-21 school year. The list included five high schools, four middle schools and 22 elementary schools.

According to the district, campuses are selected due to factors including school enrollment capacities, program capacities and ongoing construction at campuses. The following schools were included on the list of schools frozen to transfer students.

High schools:

  • Akins Early College High School

  • Austin High School

  • Bowie High School

  • McCallum High School

  • Navarro Early College High School


Middle schools:


  • Gorzycki Middle School

  • Lamar Middle School

  • Lively Middle School

  • Murchison Middle School


Elementary schools:


  • Baldwin Elementary School

  • Baranoff Elementary School

  • Becker Elementary School, except for dual language

  • Blazier Elementary School

  • Brentwood Elementary School

  • Casis Elementary School

  • Cowan Elementary School

  • Doss Elementary School

  • Gullett Elementary School, except for kindergarten

  • Hill Elementary School

  • Kiker Elementary School

  • Lee Elementary School, except for kindergarten

  • Maplewood Elementary School

  • Mathews Elementary School, except for kindergarten

  • Menchaca Elementary School

  • Mills Elementary School

  • Oak Hill Elementary School
