After opening Nutty Brown Business Park last fall, the 41,000-square-foot commercial development is officially full, developer Ron McGuire told Community Impact Newspaper in June. Nine businesses are renting space in the development, including a fitness studio, a book publisher and an event planner. McGuire, who owns real estate company McGuire Custom Homes, also houses his company’s office at the business park. A space is also rented out by an event security company for shipping purposes. A local woodworker also uses a space for a personal studio. McGuire said he purchased the land for the Nutty Brown Business Park back in 2004 to develop in the future. He said when he saw plans for the now-constructed Belterra Village mixed-use development nearby, he knew the time was right to develop the property. McGuire said he has completed construction on a similar business park at 211 Darden Hill Road, near the corner of CR 150 and CR 162 in the city of Dripping Springs’ extraterritorial jurisdiction. About 12,000 square-feet are still available at the Darden Hill Business Park. He said he also owns an additional nine-acre site off Nutty Brown Road that currently includes a homestead. McGuire said he is doing a feasibility study on the land for additional commercial development but has not determined what the future use will be.
