Visitors can walk through the pumpkin patch, take photos on hay bales and purchase pumpkins, which are priced according to size.

The zoo becomes illuminated and decorated for the Halloween occasion. Attendees can wear a costume, bring a picnic to enjoy in the picnic grove, ride a haunted train, explore a haunted house and see the zoo animals at night with a flashlight. Adult attendees wearing a costume may not wear a mask.
