Unofficial results show Dripping Springs ISD board of trustee candidates Olivia Barnard and Tricia Quintero have been reelected to their at-large positions.

The details

Barnard won 3,720, or 38.73% of the vote, while Quintero won 3,103, or 32.31% of the vote. Ron Jones won 2,781, or 28.96% of the votes. The two candidates with the most votes win seats on the board.

What they're saying


Barnard thanked voters for her win in a statement to Community Impact on May 3.

"I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done over the last three years—expanding transparency, supporting key leadership growth, prioritizing parents, and being accessible, accountable stewards of taxpayer trust," Barnard said. "We’ve stayed focused on the safety, security, education, and experience of every child, and that will remain my top priority in the years ahead."

Quintero thanked voters for the passing of the bond package, as well as her re-election in a interview with Community Impact on May 3.

"There [were] a lot of misconceptions stated about me throughout my campaign, and it's fortunate that the voters could see through that and do what's best for our district," Quintero said.

Barnard and Quintero have been on the board since 2022 and are running for re-election. Jones had also previously served on the DSISD board from 2014-2023.

Early voting results show Dripping Springs ISD board of trustee candidates Olivia Barnard and Tricia Quintero in the lead to win the two seats up for election this May.

As of 7:15 p.m. May 3, Barnard is leading the board race with 38.85% of the vote, according to Hays and Travis Counties. Quintero has 32.08% of the vote with Ron Jones holding 29.07% of the vote.


The two candidates with the most votes will be elected as at-large DSISD Trustees.
